IGNOU Hiring Full Time Academic Consultant

IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Academic Consultant (full time) at the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) in the School of Social Sciences (SOSS). The position is initially for a period of six months, with the possibility of extension based on the needs of the DACE. The consolidated pay for the role is Rs. 50,000/-.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a Ph.D. in any discipline of social sciences, or a Master’s degree in any discipline of social sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC without creamy layer/differently-abled). In addition, candidates must have at least three years of teaching or research experience on digital platforms in an open learning system, and proficiency in both English and Hindi.

The primary responsibilities of this position include coaching Civil Services aspirants at the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence-SOSS, IGNOU, as well as the development of reading materials, assessment exercises (such as test series and assignments), and assisting the DACE team with online teaching. This includes coordinating with subject experts, scheduling time-tables, keeping track of assignments, maintaining attendance records, and other related activities.

It is important to note that this position is purely contractual and does not carry any right to absorption or regularization within the university. The selected candidate will be expected to start immediately upon acceptance of the position.
