How to Submit IGNOU Assignments Online – Instructions By Regional Centers

Looking at the current COVID-19 situation in the country where many States are under complete lock down, the students are having trouble with their studies. Specially IGNOU students who have to submit their Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA). These assignments are compulsory for the students to be eligible to attend the exams. So students are in constant worry about how to submit their assignments to their respective study center. Although the submission date has been extended, the situation isn’t looking any good. In such time almost every IGNOU Regional Center has issued a guideline/instructions so that students can submit their assignments on time. How to Submit IGNOU Assignments In Lock Down

Method 1 : Submit Assignments In Hard Copy Via Speed Post

Students can prepare their assignment(s) and send it through Post. Most of the Study Centers have been guided to collect and acknowledge the assignments sent via Post. Students must write their correct address on the envelope to get the acknowledgement for the assignment submission.

Not all the Study Centers are accepting assignments via Post, so please check the link of your regional center guidelines given at the end of this post to know if your study center accepts Post method or not.

Method 2 : Submit Via Email or Google Form

  • Prepare your hand-written assignment(s).
  • Scan it with any scanner or PDF Scanner App (We recommend using Adobe PDF Scanner).
  • Create separate PDF file for each course/subject.
  • Dont break assignment of one course into different files.
  • And don’t merge assignment files of different courses together.
  • Thus if you are submitting four assignment responses, you would be submitting four separate files , no more, no less.
  • Attach the PDF file in email and send it to the email address provided in the guideline or submit via Google Forms Link provided in the guideline.

The first page of the pdf file must carry the correct particulars of the learner as given below:

  1. Name of the learner:
  2. Enrollment number:
  3. Regional Center Code:
  4. Study Center Code:
  5. Program Code:
  6. Course Code of attached assignment:
  7. Mobile number:
  8. Email ID:
  9. Date of submission
