IGNOU Signed MoU with NCHMCT to offer programs in Hospitality

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) to offer Bachelor of Science (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) (BHM) and Master of Science (Hospitality Administration) (MHA) programs.

The BHM program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the various aspects of the hospitality and hotel industry, including food production, food and beverage service, and front office operations. The MHA program is intended for those who wish to gain advanced knowledge and skills in the field of hospitality management and administration.

As per the MoU, the NCHMCT will provide academic support and guidance to IGNOU in the form of curriculum development, resource persons, and evaluation of the program. The partnership will also provide students with opportunities for internships and industry interactions through the NCHMCT’s vast network of industry partners.

Commenting on the MoU, Dr. Nageshwar Rao, Director-General of IGNOU, said, “We are delighted to partner with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology to offer these industry-relevant programs.
