BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) Now Finally Launched on iPhone and Android...

The widely appreciated BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service is making its debut onAndroid and iOS platforms, according a tweet from @bbworldwid, the BlackBerry Worldwide’s Twitter account. The arrival is scheduled for June 27, 2013.
The tweet shows a picture of BBM running on an AT&T version of the iPhone. The launch will likely bring the key features of BBM, such as BlackBerry Groups, voice notesharing, and multi-person chat, with other features making their way slowly.
RIM updated BBM to BBM 7 in December last year, augmenting its appeal among business users. The most noted feature is its support for voice calls over Wi-Fi. In January this year, RIM launched the BB10 operating system, a platform that was developed right from scratch. BB10 is equipped with the BlackBerry Enterprise 10, a system that allows support forAndroid and iOS.
In May, BlackBerry announced that its BBM will launch outsidethe BlackBerry 10 (BB10) platform, but did not specify a release date. BBM is expectedto launch as a free app on Android and iOS. It will competewith WeChat, WhatsApp and other free apps, but it is to benoted that BBM has been popular even before the arrival of BB10. Latest statistics say that more than 10 billion messages are sent through BBM each day.
The BB10-based smartphones– BB Q10 and BB Z10 – launched this year with expectations that they will revive their manufacturer’s smartphone market. The devices seem to be doing well.RIM is also preparing to launcha budget BB10 smartphone called BlackBerry Q5 in July across select regions. The BB Q5 will be a QWERTY smartphone; more details have yet to be revealed.
Considering BlackBerry’s renown as the perfect business smartphone, the rollout of BBM across other platforms is a key milestone.

Amalkanti (Nirendranath Chakrabarti) Amalkanti is a friend of mine, we were together at school. He often came late to class and never knew his lessons. When asked to conjugate a verb, he looked out of the window in such puzzlement that we all felt sorry for him. Some of us wanted to be teachers, some doctors, some lawyers. Amalkanti didn't want to be any of these. He wanted to be sunlight — the timid sunlight of late afternoon, when it stops raining and the crows call again, the sunlight that clings like a s mile to the leaves of the jaam and the jaamrul. Some of us have become teachers, some doctors, some lawyers. Amalkanti couldn't become sunlight. He works in a poorly lit room for a printer. He drops in now and then to see me, chats about this and th at over a cup of tea, then gets up to go. I see him of…

The scientists who earlier uncovered why zebras have black - and - white strips, took the colouration question to giant pandas in the latest study. “Understanding why the giant panda has such striking colouration has been a long - standing problem in biology that has been difficult to tackle because virtually no other mammal has this appearance, making analogies difficult , ” said Tim Caro, a professor at the University of California, Davis in the U.S. “The breakthrough in the study was treating each part of the body as an independent area,” said Mr. Caro. This enabled the team to compare different regions of fur across the giant panda’s body to the dark a…
