Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE-Enabled Feature Phone Purported Image Leaked

HIGHLIGHTS

An anonymous tipster provided Gadgets 360 with the imageThe feature phone bears four buttons for Jio servicesReliance Jio has been rumoured to launch budget VoLTE feature phones

Reliance Jio is rumoured  to be planning the launch of 4G VoLTE-enabled feature phones, priced between Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,500. Now, an anonymous tipster has sent an image to Gadgets 360, said to be of a Reliance Jio VoLTE feature phone.

The Reliance Jio VoLTE feature phone image of the purported was not accompanied by any other details. All that's visible in the Reliance Jio VoLTE feature phone leaked imaged is the presence of four buttons below the display and above the alphanumeric keyboard, corresponding to the MyJio, JioTV, JioCinema, and JioMusic apps, from left to right.

As per an earlier report, Reliance Jio is expected to use Spreadtrum chipsets for its 4G VoLTE feature phones, though the company was also said to be in talks with chip giants Qualcomm and MediaTek for low-cost 4G LTE enabled processors.

While the report had also tipped the presence of both front and rear cameras on the Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE feature phones, the image shared with Gadgets 360 doesn't confirm this piece of information. Two Reliance Jio feature phones are said to be in development, but, no launch time-frame is available.

The entry of Reliance Jio into the Indian telecom sector has caused a massive upheaval, with rivals rushing to offer competitive plans, and smartphone manufacturers rushing to launch VoLTE-enabled smartphones.

Reliance Industries in its Q3 financial and operational performance report  revealed  Reliance Jio has over 72.4 million subscribers as of December 31, 2016 - gained in less than four months since launch of September 5. The company also revealed the Reliance Retail had sold 2.8 million Lyf devices and accessories in the quarter

Girl Searched “How To Commit Suicide”. What Google Did Next Is Appreciable

TopYaps

Traumatized and depressed, a 24 year-old girl decided to commit suicide when her boyfriend left her. After getting a government job, the boy came under family pressure and left the girl. After such a drastic incident, all that the girl could think of was suicide. She decided to end her life by jumping in the Yamuna canal which is 4km away from Saharanpur.

Just before jumping she suddenly decided to search for an easier method to end one’s own life.

She searched “How to commit suicide” on Google. Fortunately, instead of showing the methods, the search results showed “Suicide Helpline Numbers”.

Instead of thinking more, she dialed one of the numbers that appeared on the mobile screen. The call was received by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, who convinced her to get counseling.

According to DIG Jitendra Kumar Sahni,

On January 3, I got a call from the girl on my public number. She was quite nervous and was about to end her life. She told me she had even searched how to kill herself on Google. Among the search results, she told me, she found my number. I heard her out and told her to come to my office so we could talk about it in detail.

After some time, the girl reached the DIG’s office, where she told her story. She was depressed and out of her mind. All she wanted was to end herself.

The DIG asked  the station officer of the women’s police station to take the matter in her hands and give counselling to the girl. The female inspector got in touch with the boy and talked to the couple to search for better options for a better future.

Technology saved this girl’s life and Google should get all the appreciation for listing suicide helpline numbers for such searches instead of the methods.

Are you obsessed with new Team India Jersey?

In a country obsessed with cricket, the Indian cricket team jersey symbolizes the support of millions of fans for the men and women in blue. And it provides inspiration to thousands of young cricketers who aspire to represent the country at the world stage.

“The game has been evolving over the years and the need to have kits that are designed to suit the modern game has always been the priority for the team management and Nike," says MS Dhoni, India Cricket team wicketkeeper and batsman. "Features like the 4D quickness and Zero distractions will definitely help the team inside the ropes."

4D Quickness provides multi-directional and multi-dimensional stretch for quickness along with tuned breathability that helps with temperature regulation to keep athletes cool. This is just one element of the new jersey that reduces distractions and supports maximum performance during play.
Beyond representing the nation, India's leading cricketers are also invested in nurturing young athletes — helping them to engage in sport and overcome challenges to unleash their full potential.

“We have always been told to treat life and sport differently, which is very wrong. On the field, we are encouraged to take risks but then in life you need to be safe! It’s a huge gap that needs to be bridged," shares Virat Kohli , Captain, Indian Cricket team. "Cricket has taught me everything I know about life. I truly believe that sport helps shape your character as an individual; all you need is to believe in yourself. The self-belief that I learnt on the field makes me believe that I accomplish anything on or off the field.”

Harmanpreet Kaur, Captain of the Indian Women’s T20 Cricket team remembers the difficulty of forging a career in cricket from her hometown, Moga.
“I started playing cricket with the boys and I loved the sport from the first time I held a bat. People didn’t want me to play cricket, they said you don’t have a future in it. Surrendering under pressure I attended a hockey camp but that just reinstated my love for cricket," says Kaur. "I believed I could play for the Indian team one day; but first I needed to play in a women’s team to get noticed. The biggest struggle was to get 11 girls on the field to make a team; I remember even coaching the girls at every practice session.”
The new Team India cricket jersey is available January 12 at select Nike doors in India.

Indian Express

BSNL and MTNL are the only two state owned networks and many Indians use these networks. Sources claim that Niti Aayog may consider these state owned networks for strategic disinvestment.
The current government has blamed the Congress party for the financial decline of the two network providers. Former telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had said before 2004, BSNL and MTNL were making profits around Rs 10,000 crore and Rs 900 crore respectively.

When NDA assumed the power the BSNL was suffering a loss of Rs 8,000 crore and MTNL was suffering Rs 2,000. The Niti Aayog has submitted a list of 74 stagnated and loss making public sector undertakings to shut them down to cut losses.
They were also considering to reconstruct these undertakings. The official said that discussions were taking place between ministries for the final details. The official disclosed Air Inida was also a part of the list which was submitted by Niti Aayog to the Centre. Niti Aayog recommended the reconstruction of the Air India public sector undertaking. 10 Ways to Search Google for Information That 96% of People Don’t Know About

In our era of advanced technology and high-speed Internet connections, you can find information on virtually anything. In the space of just a few minutes, we can find recipes for the tastiest pie or learn all about the theory of wave-particle duality.

But more often than not, we have to sift through a vast body of knowledge to get the information we need, and this can take hours rather than minutes. This is why KHOJI.NET has put together a list of the most effective methods for searching Google to help you find the precious material you’re looking for in just a couple of clicks.

1. Either this or that

Sometimes we’re not sure that we’ve correctly remembered the information or the name we need to start our search. But this doesn’t have to be a problem! Simply put in a few potential variations of what you’re looking for, and separate them by typing the “|“ symbol. Instead of this symbol you can also use ”or." Then it’s easy enough to choose the result that makes the most sense.

2. Searching using synonyms

Our language is rich in synonyms. Sometimes this can be very convenient when doing research online. If you need to find websites on a given subject rather than those that include a specific phrase, add the "~" symbol to your search.

For example, if you search for the term "healthy ~food" you’ll get results about the principles of healthy eating, cooking recipes, as well as healthy dining options.

3. Searching within websites

Sometimes you read an interesting article on a website and find yourself subsequently wanting to share it with your friends or simply reread it. The easiest way to find the desired piece of information again is to search within the website. To do this, type the address of the site, then a key word or entire phrase from the article, and it should come up immediately.

4. The power of the asterisk

When our cunning memory decides to prevent us from recalling that one key word, phrase, or number we need in order to find what we’re looking for, you can turn to the powerful "*" symbol. Just use this in the place of the word/phrase you can’t remember, and you should be able to find the results you’re looking for.

5. When lots of words are missing

If it’s the lengthier half of the phrase you can’t remember rather than a single key word, try writing out the first and last words and putting “AROUND + (the approximate number of missing words)“ between them. For example, ”I wandered AROUND(4) cloud."

6. Using a time frame

Sometimes we urgently need to acquaint ourselves with events that occurred during a certain period of time. To do so, you can add a time frame to your search query with the help of three dots between the dates. For example, if we want to find out about scientific discoveries during the 20th century, we can write:

7. Searching for a title or URL

To help find the key words and name of an article, type “intitle:“ before the search term, without any spaces between them. In order to find the words from a URL, use ”inurl:".

8. Finding similar websites

If you’ve found something you really like online and want to find similar websites, type in "related:" and then the address of the site, again without a space between them.

9. Whole phrases

Framing the search term within quotation marks is the simplest and most effective way to find something specific and in the exact order you typed it in.

For example, if you type in the words I’m picking up good vibrations without quotation marks, the search engine will show the results where these words appear in any order on a website, as opposed to the specific order in which you typed them.

If, on the other hand, you type "I’m picking up good vibrations" within quotation marks, you’ll get only those results where these words appear only in the order you typed them in. This is a great way to find the lyrics to a song when you only know one line from it.

10. Unimportant search words

To remove unimportant search words from your query, simply write a minus symbol before each one. For example, if you want to find a site about interesting books, but you aren’t looking to buy them, you can write the following:

21 Hidden and Unknown Things About Google Search

Google is a company of frightening scope. The sheer amount of info it has on internet users is astounding, and the fact that so many of us are reliant on its apps to function means it should only keep growing.

It’s also pretty nerdy. Or at least, that’s the impression it gives off whenever it adds to the enormous collection of Easter eggs snuck within its services.

Google's search engine, in particular, holds many of these in-jokes. If you’re not familiar with them, though, we’ve rounded up a handful of our favorites from over the years.

1. If you search “solitaire,” you can play a round of the classic card game. It’s only the standard version, though — sorry, Freecell fans.

(Jeff Dunn / Business Insider)

2. Likewise, searching “tic tac toe” will let you start up that game. You can set it to play against a friend or Google itself. For a real challenge, set the difficulty to “Impossible,” and try to get anything done at work.

3. If you're still in the holiday spirit, you can play a digital game of dreidel by searching "spin (or play) dreidel."

4. If you’ve got an either/or decision on your hands, Googling “flip a coin” might help.

(Jeff Dunn / Business Insider)

5. And if you somehow have six things to choose from, maybe “roll a die” will suffice.

6. Searching “askew” will turn the page slightly...askew.

7. Searching “anagram” will ask if you meant “nag a ram." That, of course, an anagram of anagram.

8. My personal favorite on the list, a search for “recursion” — a programming term referring to a function that calls back to itself — will ask if you meant “recursion.” Now try clicking on it repeatedly. Get it?

9. Searching “what sound does a dog make” will bring up the appropriate sound effect. You can swap dog out with cow, pig, duck, and a few others. This one’s good for the kids, or just for those who want to creep out their coworkers.

(Jeff Dunn / Business Insider)

10. For the rest of us — or just hardcore Seinfeld fans — there’s the Festivus pole. That pops up whenever you search for Frank Costanza’s favorite holiday.

11. If you’re generally feeling curious, search “fun facts” (or “I’m feeling curious”). That’ll return a Snapple-esque piece of random info, which you can refresh right on the page.

12. Searching “google in 1998” will bring you to a page reminiscent of what Google looked like a couple decades ago, complete with company background info and that truly horrid logo.

13. Some of these get after deep thoughts, too. Searching for “the answer to life, the universe, and everything” brings up a calculator result of 42, a reference to Douglas Adams’ “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”

14. A slightly more obscure one: Googling “conway’s game of life” returns a sprawling digital animation to the side of the screen. This is a reference to the famous self-simulating “cellular automaton” created by British mathematician John Conway in 1970.

15. There are clearly a few gamers on Google’s Search team. Search “Super Mario Bros,” for instance, and one of the "?" Blocks from that series will show up in the appropriate Knowledge Graph cards. Click it, and you’ll be treated the same coin-dispensing sound effect you’d hear in the original games.

16. For the Sega people out there, searching "Sonic the Hedgehog" will bring up that beloved mascot in the Knowledge Graph. Clicking on him will make him do his trademark spin, and eventually transform him into his powered-up Super Sonic form.

(Jeff Dunn / Business Insider)

17. Searching “zerg rush,” meanwhile, will unleash a torrent of O's that gradually eat away at your results. This is a reference to a type of attack in the popular strategy game series "StarCraft."

18. A treat for those who remember Nintendo’s "Star Fox 64": Searching “do a barrel roll” will spin the results page a full 360 degrees. You can also search “Z or R twice” — that is, the command you had to hit on the Nintendo 64 controller to do said barrel roll in the first place.

19. Googling “pacman” will allow you to play the interactive doodle Google created for the little yellow guy’s 30th anniversary back in 2010.

(Jeff Dunn / Business Insider)

20. Move over to Google Image Search, and searching “atari breakout” will turn that page’s images into a big game of, you guessed it, Breakout.

21. Finally, because all of existence comes back to Kevin Bacon in the end, searching “bacon number” after a celebrity’s name will tell you just how many degrees of separation are between that celebrity, and the star of "Hollow Man."
